records. The dining area was believed to be the local jail house
and the original building of the future pub.

Dating from 1515 the George and Dragon is a very beautiful country
pub with a wealth of beams and an inglenook fireplace. The Gunpowder
Plot was reputed to have taken place next door in the Town House
