MOTE
IGHTHAM MOTE The 14th century moated manor house, Ightham Mote,
is located in the west side of the parish in a sunken valley.
The National Trust property boasts many beautiful features including
a Tudor painted ceiling, Grade 1 listed dog kennel, lovely gardens
and numerous woodland walks.
There is a shop selling gifts, local produce and a wide variety
of shrubs and herbaceous plants. The Mote Restaurant serves delicious
meals and teas and there are numerous events on offer throughout
the year.
