There is a Scout Group recycling bin for newspapers and magazines by the recreation ground lay-by. All proceeds go directly to the Scout Group to help the young people of Ightham.

WRVS LUNCHEON CLUB

This is a club for any senior citizen who wishes to spend an hour and a half enjoying convivial company and a very good two-course lunch. Transport is provided if required. If you not yet of that age you would be most welcome as a helper. The club meets every Wednesday during school term time in the village hall - 12.15pm for a 12.30 lunch.

As well as aove 2 clubs the WRVS also helps with local transport to the surgery, clinics, hospitals etc. and in other varied situations where they can be of use. New volunteers are always welcome, even men, as the 'women's' is purely historical.

Meetings are held at 8pm on the 4th Wednesday in each month in the village hall. In addition, there are Spring, Summer and Autumn shows. Monthly Exhibits: T.A. Brice Challenge Cup - members are invited to bring exhibits of vegetables, flowers and plants,
Kesteven Rose Bowl - members are invited to bring arrangements of flowers that depict the titles indicated in the programme. Membership: £6 per annum.
Visitors are welcome at monthly meetings for a charge of £1
.


IGHTHAM SOCIAL CLUB
The Ightham Social Club is attached to the Village Hall in Sevenoaks Road.

The club is non-profit making, has 2 snooker tables, a pool table, darts plus other amusements and is very child friendly. The licensed bar is open from 7pm to midnight 7 days a week and bar snacks are available. It can be used to host non-exclusive functions by members at no extra charge.

The one-off joining fee is £10 and the annual membership fee is £10 - these fees are halved for concessions. Tel No: 01732 882104

Meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of every month in the village hall. This club has been in existence for over 60 years and still makes an important contribution to village life. Members enjoy a varied programme of speakers, demonstrations and outings. New members are always welcome.
